Police identify two women following appeal over bank card theft from a Margate pensioner

Kent Police

Two women sought by police in connection with the theft and fraudulent use of a Margate pensioner’s bank card have now been identified.

Kent Police issued CCTV images of the pair last week in a bid to trace them. The images have now been removed from this website due to the legal process underway.

Officers have been investigating a report of theft and fraudulent use of the bank cards in Thanet after the victim, in his 70s, reported the transactions being made at businesses on the isle  between 1 March and 17 May.

A 24-year-old woman from Broadstairs has been arrested on suspicion of theft in connection with the report and has been released on bail until 19 August.
