Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have charged Trevor Brazier, 48-years-old, of Northdown Road, with the murder of a 38-year-old man of no fixed address.
Police were called to Mr Brazier’s home in the early hours of Saturday morning and a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he later died.
Mr Brazier was arrested at the scene at 6.28am. He will appear before Medway Magistrates Court via video link on tomorrow.
Due to previous contact at the address Kent Police has self-referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
