Three suspected burglars are in custody after being arrested by officers in Margate.
Kent Police was called to a building site on Hartsdown Road at around 2am today (September 3).
Men wearing dark coloured clothing and balaclavas were reported to be behaving suspiciously near a container on a housing development site.
Patrols attended and the group made off in the direction of Shottendane Road, leading to a short chase on foot.
Three suspects were detained shortly afterwards. A pair of bolt croppers was also seized.
Two men, aged 61 and 36, and a 17 year old boy, all from north Kent, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken into custody, where they remain while enquiries continue.
