The critically acclaimed musical Come From Away, the moving tale that captured the spirit of true events that transpired in the wake of 9/11 at the Granville Theatre in Ramsgate.

Come From Away tells the story of what happened to a small town called Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador during the events of September 11, 2001, when 38 planes had to unexpectedly land. The small community had to rally together throughout the struggle and accommodate nearly 7,000 passengers following the tragedy of 9/11. Many of the characters are based upon real-life passengers, including Nick and Diane Marson, a Brit and an American who fell in love in real life following the disaster.

First Friday -The Original Easter

There will be a range of simple craft activities, suitable for all ages. They will explore some of the traditions and iconography around Easter, including hares, rabbits and eggs. And it will dive into the underlying themes of renewal and rebirth, and how they relate to the coming of spring.

The studio has adopted the idea of ‘Regenerative Creative Practice’, which encourages artists and other creatives to think carefully about the environment, and that idea will also be under discussion.

Field Guide – Future Edition by Sam Parsons

An exhibition inspired by wildlife and, specifically, the nature and scenery in the century-old natural history dioramas immediately surrounding the exhibition gallery

Reflecting Kent-born artist Sam Parsons’s background in zoology and conservation, as well as his life as a fashion designer, the exhibition will flow around the gallery walls, as multi-layered landscapes run off the canvas into sculptures. The paintings question our place within nature, how we affect it and how we might exist within it in the future.

A new soundscape, constructed by listening to the plants, animals, water and wildlife in the Gardens, will bring the outside inside and into the exhibition.

Powell-Cotton Trust’s Community Engagement Gardener Rosie Carr has been working with Quex Garden volunteers, dropping hydro-phonic recording devices into ponds and embedding microphones in soil to create recordings which capture the interactions between humans and nature that take place every day in the gardens.

David Hockney Sunley Window

The Hockney window can be viewed at Turner from 1 April–1 November 2026, and admission is free.

The installation coincides with a major exhibition at Serpentine by David Hockney. Titled A Year in Normandie and Some Other Thoughts about Painting the exhibition is at Serpentine North in London from 12 March–23 August 2026.

Dreamland

Dreamland Margate reopens to the public for the 2026 season from Friday 3 April.

The 2026 Dreamland season will begin with the park open from 10:30am – 6pm every day for the Easter Holidays from Friday 3 April until Sunday 19 April (inc).

All-day wristbands have been frozen from 2025.  A Mega ride wristband, covering all of the rides in the park, is priced at £24.99 and Tiny tots wristbands, covering certain smaller rides, are priced at £12.99 (T&Cs apply). Standard Ride Tokens are £3 each or a bundle of 20 can be purchased for £40. Each ride is 1 token.

Bouncing Bunnies at Quex Adventure Farm Park

Families are invited to hop into spring as the popular Bouncing Bunnies Easter Adventure returns to Quex Adventure Farm Park, promising a bigger and bouncier experience than ever before.

Created by the team behind the much-loved Elf Express Christmas experience, the Bouncing Bunnies Easter Adventure has become a highlight of the seasonal calendar. The event combines an interactive outdoor trail with chocolate treats, colourful characters and family-friendly entertainment, creating a memorable Easter day out for visitors of all ages.

Set within the grounds of Quex Adventure Farm Park, the event invites guests to follow a themed Easter trail packed with surprises along the way. Families will encounter playful characters, discover hidden chocolate rewards and enjoy a variety of outdoor Easter activities designed to capture the excitement of the season.

The event has quickly grown in popularity in recent years, attracting families from across Kent and beyond. Organisers say the 2026 edition will feature expanded experiences, more interactive moments and even more opportunities for visitors to immerse themselves in the Easter adventure.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive dressed for the occasion, with Easter bonnets and springtime outfits welcomed as part of the festive atmosphere. The trail has been designed to provide a fun and engaging experience for children while offering a relaxed and enjoyable day out for the whole family.

You can build your own snack cup with all the easter treats, then a showing of Winnie the Pooh – Springtime with Roo to end the wholesome afternoon.

Broadstairs Food Festival

April 3 and April 4, 10am to 6pm, and April 5, 10am to 5pm. At Victoria Gardens

As well as Kentish fine fare and artisan produce with more than 100 stalls of ales, preserves, confectionery, cakes and pastries, the festival marquee will have a full programme of entertainment, with loads of free-to-attend family sessions.  There will be an opportunity to experience the craft of screen printing with Thanet artist Molly Pickle Designs and to enjoy Dan Cooper’s gardening session.

Easter must mean bonnets and bunnies and the festival includes both. Sunday afternoon will be dedicated to making Easter crowns with visits from the Easter bunny throughout the day.

Local musicians will be performing on the bandstand on all three days. The bandstand café has plenty of seating so is a good place for a pot of tea or ice cream while enjoying the entertainment.

Additional events around the town are in hand and will be announced soon. Already confirmed are workshop sessions in Clarey’s Chocolate Boutique in the High Street, and themed arts and crafts sessions with Tilly and her team, in The Old Curiosity Shop, Harbour Street.

Manston Drag Racing: Racing In Mexico II

Gate opens at 8am all days, the track goes live at 10am. Race until done, usually 5/6pm

1/4 mile RWYB (track fee applies, rwyb all day, unlimited runs) featuring the 1/4 mile Flowtech street car shootout and all of the 1/8th mile No-Prep competition classes, BOTH days. The Flowtech Street car shootout is completely free to enter just put your name down in the signing on office during the lunch break. All pairings will be drawn out of the famous hat for every round so they are always randomised.  Decent Trophies for Winner and runner-up.  A sixteen and above car count for the Flowtech Street Car Shootout will result in prize money being given courtesy of their sponsor.

No-Prep is heads up, no rules other than tire size, 1/8th mile heads up doorslamer drag racing. They race both days and have eliminations both days. NEW for 2026 all No-Prep classes are FREE to enter providing you have paid your RWYB track fee.  Trophies for winner and runner up, Prize money is subject to sponsors for individual classes.

Westwood Cross

Westwood Cross is preparing for a long weekend of activities to keep the kids entertained this spring.

From 1 April, the family-favourite dinosaur trail will return to Westwood Cross, inviting guests to embark on a Jurassic journey into the past discovering life-sized dinosaurs, including Bernard the Parasaurolophus, Camilla the Stegosaurus, Charles the Dilophosaurus, and Boris, the fearsome T-Rex.

The Broadstairs shopping centre’s pop-up park will also be reintroduced to encourage more time spent outdoors with little ones.

For one day only, the well-loved Easter Bunny will be hopping back to Westwood Cross to spread joy during the bank holiday weekend, with some egg-stra special surprises in store. Guests can take home an Easter egg, capture a selfie, or be in with the chance of winning an Easter prize bundle worth £100*. Find the Easter Bunny at the Community Hub, by Next, between 11:30am and 3:30pm on Saturday 4 April.

Throughout the Easter bank holiday weekend, Westwood Cross will come alive as local buskers perform at the centre’s dedicated Busk Stop, located outside the Community Hub. Tara James will be bringing rock ‘n’ roll to Westwood Cross on Friday 3 April, performing classics from the 1950s and 60s between 11-1pm, followed by local singing sensation, Phoebe McNamara, on Saturday 4 April performing pop-hits and power ballads.
