Minster hosted its annual show this weekend with organisers saying it was one of the best years for participants in the fruit and veg competitions.
The show kicked off with a fancy dress parade through the village with vehicles including a Spice Girls float.
The grey weather didn’t dampen the spirits as people joined the event at Minster Rec.
On offer were more than 50 stalls, races for children, baby show, live music, Morris dancing, chainsaw carving and a show marquee containing the craft, cookery, flowers, fruit and veg competitions.
Youngsters were entertained by Pip the Clown and Pat the magician. Broken Seals and Village Voices Choir provided music and there was also a tug of war, mascots bar, food stalls and more.
Local nostalgia author Nick Evans officially launched his new book, Away From The Coast – Stories From Thanet’s Villages, at the show.
There was an evening ceilidh with Abbey Capers at the marquee.
