The new Glass Courtyard at Chapel House Estate in Minster is set to open in March.
Construction is now well underway on the project with the centrepiece to be a beautiful oak frame crafted by the renowned Norton Timber.
This now stands as the foundation of the stunning glass structure. The Glass Courtyard is an innovative addition to the estate’s Walled Courtyard, transforming it into an all-weather venue with its signature outdoor Mediterranean vibe.
The design features an entirely glass structure supported by an oak frame, with bifold doors and a retractable glass ceiling.
The venue is fully adjustable to meet the needs of each occasion with a roof that can be retracted for an open-air ambience or closed for a cosy, weatherproof retreat.
Chapel House Estate Owner Darren Ellis said: “The Glass Courtyard is a game-changer for our estate. This space is set to become the heart of unforgettable celebrations and gatherings.”
The estate will host an open weekend for the general public, giving everyone the opportunity to explore the space, followed by the very first dining experience in early April.
Since its launch in July 2022, Chapel House Estate has won awards for its service and setting which includes a wild apple orchard, meadows, repurposed historic buildings, including a chapel built in 1290, and luxurious accommodation.
