Ramsgate-based drainage company BP Drains has been named ‘Small Contractor of the Year’ at a nationwide awards ceremony at the ExCel in London.
The awards were held by the NADC and were presented by former football manager and ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ winner Harry Redknapp.
BP Drains won the award thanks to a vote by both the public and other companies in the drainage trade.
Director of BP Drains, Barrie Peachey, said: “I’ve been working within the drainage sector all my adult life and know the business like the back of my hand. It’s a very competitive industry and you have to have very high standards in order to offer a great service. I’m very proud to receive such an award.”
BP Drains was established in Thanet in 2011 by Mr Peachey and the business has gone from strength to strength. Operations Manager, Philip Hodges, added: “BP Drains originally worked mainly within the Thanet area. It then expanded further afield to cover the Canterbury and Dover areas.
“We’re now working alongside clients such as the NHS, the MOD and Shepherd Neame Brewery across Kent and the entire South East. Things have simply got bigger and better though our attention to detail remains the same to all our customers.”
The award for Small Contractor of the Year went to BP Drains after they beat competition from companies as far afield as, Dorset, Nottinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Devon.
