Suspected cocaine and crack cocaine have been seized – and a suspect arrested – after patrols stopped a vehicle in Ramsgate on Sunday 24 November.
Kent Police was alerted to two men behaving suspiciously in the Plains of Waterloo area at around 9am that morning. One man left the area on foot and the other drove off in a car.
The car was followed for a short while and then stopped in Grange Road, after which the driver was detained by officers.
A search led to the recovery of three wraps, believed to contain cocaine and crack cocaine; two mobile phones and an amount of cash. A locking knife was also seized.
A 40 year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession of a bladed article. He has since been bailed while enquiries continue.
