British Transport Police officers are investigating a reported assault on a young woman at Margate Railway Station yesterday {November 5}.
Officers were called just after 3.30pm. A witness who was alerted to the distressed teenager by his son said: “There was blood all down the right side of her face and she had an injured hand too. I felt so helpless, station staff attended to her.”
A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers received reports of an assault on a woman in her late teens, after a train arrived at Margate Railway Station just after 3.30pm yesterday (5 November).
“Officers are still investigating the circumstance surrounding the incident.”
Disgusting! Hope the young lady concerned puts this behind her asap. 🌹

The piece doesn’t say where the young lady was assaulted. For all you know, it might have happened outside Thanet, and it was in Thanet that concerned locals went to her aid.

According to the Isle of Thanet News, there was an assault at Margate railway station in 2021. None since.
So Peter you still say it’s safe for youngsters to use public transport,this is not the first one of late.Yes i know you use public transport but your an old codger,unlikely to get touched Hope she is okay
How many people get killed in the UK in cars? I’ll answer that for you: 1,645 last year. That’s a lot more people than those who get murdered on public transport, or indeed those cycling and walking.
