A former manager of Monkton Under 5s nursery has appeared in court charged with theft from her employer.
Kerry Norris, of Drift Road, Aylesham, is accused of taking of £11,100 from the playgroup. The charity run group dismissed Ms Norris for gross misconduct this year after around six years of employment. She had previously handed in her notice.
The 49-year-old appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on November 1. She has admitted theft from the workplace but disputes the prosecution’s details for the amount.
A ‘Newton hearing’ to determine issues between the prosecution and defence that could affect sentencing will take place at the magistrates court on June 25.
Monkton Under 5s caters for children aged 2-5 and has been running for some 40 years and is a charity run commission.
