Emergency services attend crash in Broadstairs

Emergency services have attended a two car crash in Broadstairs today (September 25).

Two fire engines. Police and paramedics were called to the incident at the roundabout at Dane Court Road and Westwood Road at just after 11am.

One man was taken to hospital.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 11.04am to a report of a collision involving two cars in Broadstairs, at the roundabout where Broadstairs Road meets Westwood Road, Dane Court Road and Vicarage Street.

“Officers attended along with SECAmb and a man was taken to hospital after injuries were reported. The road was clear at around 12.30pm.”

A Kent Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson added: “.Two fire engines attended and assisted Kent Police and SECAmb.”

Fire crews finished at the scene at 12.15pm.

  1. Nearly 2 more people taken to hospital when the fire engine racing towards the scene came hurtling towards us in the middle of the road, giving us no room to move, barely giving us time to get out of the way!! Safe driving applies to all, regardless of emergencies!

    • Must have been hard for you to spot it coming!!

      They don’t have seconds to waste just because people can’t drive with some attention to the surroundings, but maybe next time they will stop and let you through!
