Crews attend car fire in Westbrook

Kent Fire & Rescue says the cause of a car fire in Westbrook at the weekend is not known.

The Ford Focus burst into flames on Saturday evening (September 21). The fire service was called in at 8.54pm.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Canterbury Road in Margate to a fire within the engine compartment of a car.

“One fire engine attended, and crews used a hose reel jet to put the fire out.

“There were no reported injuries, and the cause is not known.”

The crew finished at the scene at 9.17pm.
