Arrest made after report of four people assaulted by man in Minster

Four people were injured, with two being taken to hospital, in an assault in Minster last night (June 10).

Kent Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance service were called to Molineux Road at around 7.30pm to reports of a man attacking the group, with witnesses reporting he was armed with a shovel.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at around 7.30pm on Monday 10 June to a report of disturbance.

“Officers attended Molineux Road, Minster, where it was reported that four people had been assaulted by a man.  Two of the victims, a man and a woman, sustained injuries and both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

“A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, drink driving, and a public order offence and taken into custody while enquiries continue.”
