Police enquiries in Cliftonville after report man has been raped

Police in Ethelbert Crescent this morning

Kent Police officers are making enquiries in Ethelbert Terrace, Cliftonville, after a report a man had been raped.

Officers, including forensics, have been at the scene around the play park area since 6.30am today (May 28).

A cordon was put around the play area

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police is making enquiries in the Ethelbert Crescent area of Margate, following a report that a man was raped.

“Officers are working to establish the circumstances of the incident, which is said to have taken place between 10pm on Monday 27 May and 12.50am the following morning.”

  1. Lord, no. Hope the poor guy recovers well from this. And the perpetrator(s) get caught and punished appropriately.

  2. Maybe things have changed, but sounds like a brave guy for reporting this – I’ve heard that many men don’t. Hope he’s as okay as he can be and that the swine are apprehended.

  3. Shocking news, I hope the victim receives counselling. A horrible crime for anyone to be a victim of.
