A Global Running Day event will take place in Ramsgate in June.
Coastal Striders running club is inviting all running clubs in Thanet to join together for a 5k route to celebrate Global Running Day.
The run will take place on Wednesday, June 5, starting at 6:30pm from Ramsgate Boating Pool on Royal Esplanade.
With all the running clubs in the area including both park runs and social groups, Coastal Striders anticipate a huge turnout.
The route will be two loops of the Westcliff promenade.
Last year some 300 people joined the event.
It is hoped runners will include those from Thanet Roadrunners , Alfie’s Striders , Thanet Athletics Club , That Running Club, Follow us Running, Vegan Runners, The Illegals, Kent County Athletics Association, Pegwell Bay parkrun and Margate parkrun.
Any group is welcome and participants are invited to have a beer and pizza at The Boating Pool bar afterwards.
