Perico Lounge to open at Ramsgate’s Royal Sands development in June

Loungers plc is opening a new venue in Ramsgate

Loungers plc, the West Country-based café/bar group, is gearing up to open Perico Lounge in Ramsgate.

Perico Lounge will open in a unit at the Royal Sands development on the seafront on Wednesday, June 12.

It will be open all day, every day for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, including full kids’, gluten-free and vegan menus, served in a relaxed, welcoming space.

The Loungers build and design team will transform the unit on Beach Drive, in their unmistakable and unique style.

Perico Lounge promises a varied and innovative all-day menu and says particular attention will be paid to families with a selection of games, books, colouring pencils and pads on offer.  A full menu, high chairs and baby-changing facilities are also available for Little Loungers.

Perico Lounge will welcome locals looking for a space for regular catch ups, meetings and events – everything from business networking, book or knitting clubs to parent and baby meets and life drawing classes.

Gemma Irwin, Head of Community at Loungers, said: “We’re so looking forward to opening the doors of Perico Lounge in June.  We hope our family friendly environment and top-notch food and drink offering will prove popular with local residents.

“We’re passionate about integrating genuinely into the communities we serve so we’re looking forward to meeting everyone and to playing our part at the heart of Ramsgate’s food and drink scene.  Anyone looking for a space to host events or groups should pop in once we’re open, we’d love to hear from them and see what we can do to help.”

The Perico Lounge opening follows the successful launch by the same company of Riparo Lounge at Westwood Cross in March.

  1. Over priced poor quality food and drink like Westwood Cross, but at least it is not being left empty.

  2. Yes great news, pity it will close if Manston re-opens, as aircraft will fly directly over the Harbour at less than 300 meters high!

  3. At least it will be occupied and not left empty, bringing more enhancements to Ramsgate seafront giving a continental feel … Just need the weather!
Need good prices and quality food, not overpricing like other places!!
