Wellesley Haddon Dene pupils win bronze medals at Kent Schools Swimming Gala

Bronze medals for Suri Lear, Darcey Owen, Felix Agnew and Nicholas Chhubra

Four pupils from Wellesley Haddon Dene school in Broadstairs competed at the Kent Schools Swimming Gala.

The event was held at Hartsdown Leisure Centre on March 16.

Suri Lear, Darcey Owen, Felix Agnew and Nicholas Chhubra swam the four by 25 metres freestyle relay and the four by 25 metres medley relay.

The youngsters won bronze medals in both events. The boys also achieved personal best times on their strokes.

The school is now waiting to see if they have qualified for the Regional Championships in May which will be held in Guildford.

  1. Well done, school swimming galas used to be a big event in the marina pool Ramsgate, St George’s Boys usually won everything.
