Two Broadstairs businesses have been recognised as some of the fastest growing companies in Kent according to the MegaGrowth 50 Awards.
The awards are organised by solicitors Brachers and accountants Kreston Reeves in partnership with Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce.
Morgan Jones and Johnsons Holdings South East were named as the 25th and 43rd fastest growing business for the financial year 2022-2023.
Morgan Jones is a recruitment agency which supplies staff and recruitment services throughout the UK while Johnsons Holdings is a holding company that supplies pet care, garden, and outdoor leisure products from a number of retail outlets.
Anna Shelvey, Director of Morgan Jones, said: “We are incredibly proud that in the first year following our management buyout we have come in the top 50 for the MegaGrowth Awards. “This is because of our wonderful clients and our amazing team.
“We’re so very proud that as a female led business we have been able to achieve this growth and to also see so many other Kent businesses see the same level of success.”
Morgan Jones was bought out by members of its management team in 2022 after then-owners husband and wife team Jonathan and Julie-Ann Clarke stepped down following 22 years at the helm.
It is now owned by Kim Tompsett, Nicole Ramsey, Anna Shelvey, and Chelsey Burt-Davies. All four have had long-standing careers within the company and have a combined experience of over 60 years at Morgan Jones.
Now in its 20th year, Kent’s Megagrowth annual list of its fastest-growing businesses is put together based on the average turnover growth of privately owned businesses that have a minimum turnover of £1 million.
