Giggs and Ghetts heading to Dreamland

Rapper Giggs will perform a one-off headline show in August as part of the Margate Summer Series at Dreamland.

To date, Giggs has released five studio albums, several mixtapes and performed across the world including hometown shows at The Roundhouse, Hammersmith Apollo and Wembley Arena and has collaborated with the likes of Drake, Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Dave, Aitch, Popcaan and Jorja Smith to name just a few.

Special guest Ghetts will also be taking to the stage, having recently won the MOBO’s Pioneer Award and raising the bar once again with his new album “On Purpose, With Purpose”, featuring the like of Sampha, Wretch 32 and Kano.

Expect a high-energy show hosted by presenter and grime and rap tastemaker DJ Target.

Rob Waller, Founder and Programmer of the Margate Summer Series said: “We’re ecstatic to have Giggs and Ghetts joining us in Margate for this very special show. Both artists have evolved and shaped the landscape of the UK rap scene, developing the sound, pushing it globally and paving the way for other artists. We can’t wait to have them both perform by the sea as part of the Margate Summer Series.”

    • No, they’re not. You can read/watch interviews with both where they talk about who influenced them. And they are definitely NOT influenced by Slade. Try mid 90s to early 00s American hip hop/African funk/Caribbean reggaeton.

  1. “Ticket Price: £45 – £79.50”

This is an absolute p!sstake for ticket pricing.

You can see both of em in places like Fabric in London for around £20 on the door…and they have a world leading soundsystem and venue.
