Southeastern services continue to be disrupted today (February 24) following a landslip at an embankment in Swale.
A landslip occurred in the Newington area of Swale yesterday blocking the line for 4 hours. A safety inspection took place which allowed the line to reopen briefly, but following further movement of the embankment, the line is closed again and will remain closed until urgent repairs can take place. Network Rail are currently planning what works are required, and will begin repairs as soon as they can.

Lack of management, lack of surverance, lack of planning, lack of investment. An abundance of fleecing passengers an abundance of will to maximise dividend payments for shareholders at the sacrifice of a safe, efficient, well maintained, best in class service. Very poor from the rail operators and government MPs do nothing, talk is cheap action counts.
