Firefighters called to vehicle blaze in Margate

The vehicle fire was on land off Broadley Road

Firefighters were called to a vehicle blaze in Margate last night (January 12) which is thought to have been started deliberately.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 10.26pm to the vehicle alight on farmland off Broadley Road.

A KFRS spokesperson said: “A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus used a high-pressure hose reel jet to put out the flames.

“There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is thought to be deliberate. Duty of care was passed to Kent Police and the landowner.”

KFRS finished at the scene at 11.30pm.

Kent Police attended but say no offences have been reported.
