Organisers of the Quex Park firework display have decided to postpone tonight’s (November 4) event due to the poor weather conditions.

The event was due to take place this afternoon under new management being run by the Cain’s Amusements family business based in Herne Bay.

However, organisers have now posted to social media to say the event is not going ahead today.

They say: “Having taken advice from all available services, and our team of event professionals, organisers of Quex Park Bonfire and Fireworks have taken the decision in the interest of public safety to postpone tonight’s fireworks event.”

Enquiries can be made to [email protected] – subject your email request QPF Postponement.

Quex Park Bonfire and Fireworks add: “The event attracts a large number of visitors therefore we anticipate a significant increase in administration, we ask for your patience during this time to allow us to process your enquiry.

“Please be assured we will do our utmost to update and respond in a timely manner.”

A rescheduled date has not yet been given.
