The WonderWorks has opened at the former Hornby Visitor Centre in Margate today (October 30) and includes a fabulous Margate in miniature Scalextric track.

The interactive attraction features Hornby Hobbies’ famous hobby, toy, collectable and specialist brands with a range of educational and sensory experiences.

The reimagined venue has new miniature worlds and exhibition pieces, along with a redesigned café with updated menu featuring local produce.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover the history of the company and to learn how Hornby, Airfix, CORGI, Scalextric and Pocher make their models and kits. Daily workshops and special events will help new and existing Hornby Hobbies fans to get the most out of their hobby.

“After nearly a year of planning and hard work, we are very excited to unveil The WonderWorks, and to bring a new energy to the way we showcase our iconic brands,” said Olly Raeburn, CEO, Hornby Hobbies. “The WonderWorks will offer visitors an entirely new, interactive experience, which is both the ultimate haven for enthusiasts and the ideal introduction for those new to the world of miniature.”
