William Doyle returns for Ramsgate Music Hall gig

William Doyle

Eight years on from his show as East India Youth, William Doyle returns under his own name for  a gig at Ramsgate Music Hall.

His 2021 album Great Spans of Muddy Time is an art-pop hit and there’s already a new album, recorded in Margate, which is set to release next year.

William Doyle released his Mercury Music Prize nominated debut album, Total Strife Forever, as East India Youth in 2014. A year later, he had toured the world and was releasing his second album, Culture of Volume, but it would be another four years before Doyle returned with his third full album, and the first official release under his own name.

Your Wilderness Revisited arrived in 2019 and was followed in 2021 by Great Spans of Muddy Time. A fifth album is being readied for release in 2024, recorded in his new hometown of Margate.

The Ramsgate Music Hall gig, which is open to all ages, is tomorrow (October 26) at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £12 plus booking fee: £1.50 and can be booked here.
