Update:

A person has sadly died on tracks by Minster railway station today (September 25).

British Transport Police, Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics were called to the scene at 10.30am.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the line near Minster station just before 10.30am today (25 September) to reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

Southeastern confirmed a person had been hit by a train and emergency services are still on site.

Emergency services are dealing with an incident on the line at Minster railway station this morning (September 25).

Officers from British Transport and Kent Police, Kent Fire & Rescue Service and paramedics are at the scene.

KFRS says crews were assisting police. A spokesperson said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 10.48am today (25 September) to assist Kent Police in Marsh Farm Road in Minster, Ramsgate.”

KFRS crews finished at the scene at 11.44am.

Trains through the Minster and Ramsgate area may be delayed, altered or cancelled

The following services are currently suspended: Ashford – Ramsgate via Canterbury West Ashford – Ramsgate via Dover Priory.

Passengers can use rail tickets on Stagecoach buses.
