The rescheduled Broadstairs Water Gala take place this Wednesday (August 23).

Enjoy everything from the Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Lillyputt Mini Golf, paddleboard lessons, Seashore Safaris, Punch & Judy, King Neptune’s arrival, decorated beach huts, sandcastle competitions, RNLI, beach sports activities, sea shanties, storytelling and lots more.

There will be a full programme at the Bandstand with singers, character actors, circus skills, performing arts and theatre.

The fun fair will be on Victoria Gardens from 10am until late and there will be a variety of local craft and gift stalls along the Prom.

In the evening there will be live music on the Bandstand at 8pm from Ozzie and the Uglies and a firework display at 9.45pm – weather permitting.

Best Dressed Beach Hut on Viking Bay – Circus themed- register your entry before noon on Wednesday 23rd at the Visitor Information Kiosk in its new location opposite the lift. Prizes and complimentary gifts for all entrants.

Sandcastle/Sandsculpture competition at the tidal pool end of the beach from 10.30am , only sandcastles in the marked out area will be judged. No pre- registration required.

Activities all day on the beach, bandstand, and promenade including Thanet Coast Project, RNLI Lifeboats, storytelling, Total Sports Coaching and lots more.

Live music at the bandstand from 8pm

Firework finale at Viking Bay at 9.45pm ,weather permitting

All activities are free (funfair rides are charged for)

  1. Is it possible that TDC will leave the Bandstand toilet block open until close of business?

    It was not a very good idea to close them early during Folk Week.
