
A man has been charged with attempted murder and another arrested over a stabbing incident in Garlinge in the early hours of Sunday (August 13) that has left the victim in a serious condition.
Kent Police was called just at 0.07am to Craven Close where a man had suffered stabbing injuries. He was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious yet stable condition.
Officers attended the scene and the first arrest was made shortly after.
Following initial investigations by East Kent CID, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised a charge of attempted murder against Craig Judd, of Fulham Avenue, Margate. He was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon (knife) in a public place. He was remanded and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today (August 14).
A 22-year-old man from Broadstairs remains in custody while enquiries continue.
Multiple police and paramedic vehicles attended the scene and a house in the area was cordoned off. Police have been making house to house enquiries for CCTV footage.
