Nerf gun fun at Priory

Children at Priory Infant School have taken part in their annual Sport and Fitness Week, which was as always loaded with activities.

The week was focused around engaging the children in a variety of different sports and physical activities, aiming to inspire them to lead healthy, active lifestyles.

The children were encouraged to display the sports values across the week, try new things and have fun.

Teacher and PE lead Steve Holmes said: “The children were so excited by the range of activities, which gave them opportunities to have a go at many sports they hadn’t had chance to play before.

“The range of activities included, Trampolining, Ultimate Nerf, Indoor Kurling, Boccia, Tchoukball, Football, Golf, Rugby, Athletics, Orienteering, Outdoor Adventure, Basketball, Speed Stacking, Target Games, Dodgeball, Fitness Activities, Dance, and much more!

“The children also learned about the importance of exercise and how to live healthy lifestyles.

“It was amazing to see the happiness on the children’s faces all week! A group of Year 2 children said that it was the best week they have ever had.”
