Plan Burrito to launch at Kids Bright House in Ramsgate

How it will look

A soft play centre which opened in Ramsgate High Street last year is now diversifying with the opening of franchise Plan Burrito on the premises.

Kids Bright House, run by Shereen Khalid and mum Jennifer, hopes to have the new food business up and running by the end of the month.

Plan Burrito was established in 2015 with its first Mexican Street Food restaurant in Loughborough. It now also has sites from Scotland to London and Surrey.

Shereen, who formerly worked at Courts pharmacy and was a Montessori nursery teacher prior to that, said: “We have changed (Kids BrightHouse) around as the shop is so big, so the soft play is more to the back and Plan Burrito is at the front.

“We had looked at different companies and wanted to do something nice. This company came up and I was quite anxious but thought we could really help each other. I went there and absolutely loved it. Everything about it was so good.

“It is just beautiful, simple food, tacos, nachos and burritos.

“The way we will have it is when people come in, if they have children they can eat and play and don’t have to worry about kids’ behaviour. If people don’t have kids, they might want to eat and enjoy their food at the front.

“It is still our business and part of the business plan and I just love everything about it. I think we have cracked it now and am happy with what’s happening.”

Kids Bright House

Kids Bright House is equipped for children up to 11 years old and also has a baby area for little ones under two.

The play centre is open seven days a week from 9.30am to 5.30pm. People can just walk in.
