Emergency response in Epple Bay following report of concern for welfare of woman

An emergency response involving police, paramedics and Coastguard took place by cliffs in Epple Bay last night (July 3).

Kent Police officers were called just after 9pm due to concerns for the welfare of a woman. Coastguard rescue teams from Margate and Herne Bay supported Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to Birchington shortly after 9pm on Monday 3 July following concern for a woman in the area.

“Emergency services attended and the woman was located and passed into the care of healthcare professionals.”
