Some 850 properties in Broadstairs are currently without power today (June 27).
UK Power Networks reports power went down at around 10.15am due to a fault on an underground electricity cable.
Estimates for power to be restored are between 1pm-2pm.
UK Power Networks say: “We became aware of this power cut at 10:13am. We’re sorry for any disruption this may have caused.
“Our teams will do everything they can to get the power back quickly. Engineers in our control room have switched some customers power back on. To get everyone’s power back on we may need to attend to investigate and make repairs.”
Affected properties are in the CT10 postcode area.
UPDATE 11.10am: UK POwer Networks has managed to restore power to a number of properties by remotely diverting power. There are now 265 properties still affected, power may come on sooner than originally advised.
