Author Linda Regan and husband Brian Murphy – who played George Roper in 70s series George and Mildred- were amongst the guests at the Birchington Literary Festival today (June 17).
Linda, who also has an acting background with roles in programmes including Hi de Hi, On The Buses , Minder and The Professionals, was sharing her novels, including The Burning Question – a gritty crime thriller and the next instalment in the DCI Banham series.
BirchLit, is being held in The Centre, Alpha Road and in marquees on the nearby Dog Acre open space. There are a range of speakers including politicians, sport and media personalities – all of whom have literary connections.
Children’s authors and illustrators are also attending to entertain younger guests throughout the weekend.
