Emergency services called to van crash in Margate

Emergency crews were called to College Road

Emergency services were called to College Road in Margate this morning (June 13) after a van crashed into parked vehicles.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service sent three engines to the incident and crews helped remove one person from a vehicle. The road was closed while services were in attendance.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a report of a collision involving a van and parked vehicles in College Road, Margate at 8.30am.

“Officers attended and assisted with traffic management and the recovery of the vehicles involved.”

A fire service spokesperson added: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 8.34am to reports of a crash involving one vehicle in College Road, Margate. Three fire engines attended, and crews helped to remove one person from the vehicle, who was then passed into the care of SECAmb.”

Fire crews finished at the scene at 9.03am.

No serious injuries were reported.

South East Coast Ambulance Service has been asked for further details.
