People of all ages descended on Quex Park on Sunday dressed as their favourite superheroes and comic book characters for the MDC Comic-Con.
Visitors came from afar afield as Canada specifically to meet actor Elliot Grihault, from House of The Dragon.
A Q&A session had celebrities talking about their careers – with funny man Chris Barrie frequently drawing laughter from the crowds.

People at the outdoor Comic-Con-fest enjoyed live music, tried archery, pistol shooting, and even axe throwing, and countless Stranger Things fans got to meet Tom Wlaschiha from season 4 of the hit Netflix series.

Little princes and princesses posed with Cinderella’s full-size carriage and a host of fairytale characters. A 200ft marquee was home to countless sci-fi and fantasy props, sets and displays.

Organisers thanked all that supported and attended the event but say they haven’t put their feet up.
Next up for them is the international tribute to Whitney Houston, from South African star Belinda Davids on Saturday 1st July, followed by the annual Monster Truck show – Monsterslam, scheduled for 23rd July at the venue.
