Two arrested after police raid in Ramsgate uncovers suspected MDMA and cocaine

Two people were arrested for suspected drug dealing following a raid in Ramsgate yesterday (May 12).

Several police vehicles were seen in Margate Road by the South Eastern pub at around midday. A 51-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs after suspected MDMA pills and cocaine were seized.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Officers carried out a search warrant at a property in Margate Road, Ramsgate during the morning of Friday 12 May.

“Substances suspected to be MDMA pills and cocaine were seized by police, along with a quantity of cash.

“Two people from Ramsgate, a 51-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, were both arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

“They were later bailed to return to the police station on 3 August, pending further enquiries.”
