Concert by Neptunes Choir with Charles Watson to raise funds for children’s bed project Off The Floor

The Neptune's Choir

Broadstairs based Neptune’s Choir and songwriter/producer Charles Watson are performing a fundraising concert for Thanet charity Off The Floor.

Charles released his solo album ‘Yes’ in 2022 and has most recently released a single with Mae Martin (Feel Good-Netflix).

The choir was launched in April 2021 and meets on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm at The United Reform Church, Broadstairs.

Neptunes Choir has performed at The Winter Gardens, POW, Ramsgate Festival of Sound and even Heaven! They perform a mixture of contemporary arrangements and new writing.

Thanet has a high population of low income families and the Off The Floor scheme by the Thanet Iceberg Project makes and specifically provides beds for local children in need, to ensure that ‘all children have a place to dream’.

Choir leader Naomi Hammerton said: “The choir brings together local people of all ages and abilities who love to sing. We meet once a week for an hour, and there is a real sense of sharing the joy of singing and community.

“The power of singing to unite people is amazing, and one of our key goals as a community choir is to support our local charities too. ‘Off The Floor’ is a very special project, and one we wholeheartedly support.

“We’d love people to come along, help us raise much needed funds to support them and enjoy a lovely evening full of music and positivity with us.”

The fundraising concert takes place on Friday, 31st March, 7.30 pm, at St. Georges Church, Church Hill, Ramsgate
