Industrial action due to take place tomorrow (March 6) by Unite union members at organisations including South East Coast Ambulance Service has been called off.

The GMB and Unison stood down strike action for members earlier in the week  after agreeing to talks with the Government but members of Unite union had declared they would still walk out.

However, Unite has now announced that the action will be suspended to allow for talks to take place with the government.

The Department of Health and Social Care has agreed to discuss pay for both this year and next year – as well as improvements to other terms and conditions.
