Tom Jones adds second Dreamland date due to huge demand

Sir Tom Jones

Due to massive demand, Tom Jones will be adding a second date to this year’s Margate Summer Series.

His show on Friday 28 July sold out on the day tickets went live and so the icon will now also be at Dreamland Margate on Thursday 27 July for a huge outdoor gig.

Fans can sign up for the pre-sale from 9am on Wednesday 8 February, with tickets on general sale from Thursday 9 February at 9am via www.margatesummerseries.co.uk.

With a remarkable career spanning over six decades, Tom Jones is widely considered to be one of the greatest singers and recording artists of all time, selling over 100 million records and continuing as an influential figure in the music industry.

The star first performed at Dreamland Margate in the 1960s.

  1. People living nearby ie Eaton Road who were they before Dreamland became a music place ,not a fun fair place ,having to put up with two nights of Tom Jones ,and others on other nights ,I pity them ,I live by the QEQM,and we hear the music up here ,with the wind in the right direction, so, I feel sorry for them ,how soon, before all the fun fair part disappears and Dreamland becomes just a music busines

    • Sorry Ray – too late – that has already happened.

The number of rides has diminished, the funfair opening times and days have been curtailed.

Concert tickets at £50 a head and beer at £7 a pint is the way forward . . . at least you get to hear it for free !

    • Not far off that now,the amusement park,if you can call it that is a joke. I’m pretty sure us locals campaigned for a heritage theme park, not a poxy music venue

  2. Tom Jones is good old wholesome entertainment. Unlike the grammy awards two days ago – just one big black magic ritual and extremist propaganda.
