Ramsgate FC announce new manager

Jamie Coyle is the new Rams manager

Ramsgate FC have  announced defender Jamie Coyle as the new manager following the unexplained sacking of Steve Lovell on Monday (January 30)

Coyle has previously been player-manager at Welling United and co-manager at Dartford and was assistant manager to Jay Saunders at Margate FC. He joined Rams as a player last August. He was a youth player at Crystal Palace and has played for sides including Leatherhead, Sittingbourne, Maidstone United and Hythe Town.

His appointment was announced by Rams last night (February 2) but there has still been no explanation over why Lovell was sacked, leaving fans bewildered.

Rams FC are currently third in Isthmian South East and have made several new signings, including forward player Gil Carvalho from Ashford who returns to The Rams after a spell at the club in 2019 and striker Rowan Liburd.

Rams striker Josh Ajayi has left the club to join Dover.
