Emergency services called to crash in Newington Road

A man has been taken to a local hospital following a crash in Ramsgate this morning (January 17).

Police, fire and ambulance services were called to Newington Road after a car collided with a parked vehicle at 9am.

The road, in the area of the junction with Whitehall Road, is partially blocked but should be fully reopened shortly once the vehicle has been removed.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a report a car had collided with a parked car in Newington Road, Ramsgate at 9am.

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service and a man was taken to a local hospital.”

The man’s injuries are understood not to be serious.
