A gathering of some 50 people, and dogs, joined the team from Urban Fitness Margate today (December 18) for a charity fun run raising money for Westgate-based mental health charity Changing Minds Kent.
The group, with participants aged from seven to 70, has raised £300 so far. Urban Fitness will match that amount, meaning at least £600 being donated for the vital work at Changing Minds.

Changing Minds works to inspire, educate and reduce stigma around mental health problems and to empower people to support each other.
The charity has a range of coping tools, projects and training that can transform organisations and individuals alike to make sustainable changes.

It runs The Lodge in Westgate which is a fully equipped social inclusion centre that offers free venue hire to community groups and charitable causes in the area.
After finishing the walk and run event everyone warmed up with mulled wine, mince pies and chocolates at the gym on Northdown Road, Cliftonville.
