A hidden away property by Margate’s Old Town has sold at auction for £351,250 – some £100,000 more than the guide price.
Cuckoo’s Nest is a now overgrown, substantial four storey property that has not been touched for many years.
The property at 88 Trinity Square was being offered with a freehold guide price of £220-240,000.
Jon Rimmer, auction appraiser, said: “The property does require complete refurbishment but it can be easily re-imagined as a fantastic home.”
The sale took place yesterday (November 2)
Wow Kathy tdc hell bent on selling thanet off these days. Where the money going back pockets
Was this owned by TDC?
Does the place have any access other than the narrow accessat the front? Double yellow lines on effectively a blind corner. If not the cost of just getting rid of rubbish and getting materials in will be considerable, either finacially if you can find a builder willing to take it on or in time if its a diy project.
this was a private sale…..
£100K above guide price: sounds about right!
