Fundraising appeal to help with funeral costs of Ramsgate mum Tara Wakefield

Tara leaves behind 3 children and 2 grandchildren

A fundraiser has been launched to help with the funeral costs of a Ramsgate mum who sadly took her life.

The fund is to help the three children of Tara Wakefield to pay for her final journey.

Tara, 51, had battled with  her mental health since the death of her dad David in 2018. Daughter Libby says her mum was repeatedly failed by the health system and was unable to cope anymore. Sadly, Tara’s body was found at Margate cemetery on September 14.

Tara was mum to Trudie, Tommy and Libby and had two grandchildren, Tyson and George.

Libby said: “She was an amazing mum and fun to be around and loved her family more than anything. She was failed by the system repeatedly since the death of her father David in February 2018 which ended in her taking her life.”

On the fundraising page daughter Trudie says: “Heartbreakingly she could not fight the demons anymore and decided enough was enough and that she needed to be at peace and with her loved ones in Heaven.

“Tara was a loving, kind and funny women and loved nothing more than her family and friends. And as such we want to give her the best send off she so rightfully deserves.”

All donations will go directly to Twyman and Holmes or towards the wake.
