A man was treated for burns and the effects of smoke inhalation following a washing machine fire in Margate today (August 29)
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the fire in a property at Glebe Gardens, at 10.09am.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and main jet to put out the fire.
The man was treated by SECAmb paramedics.
The fire crew finished at the scene at 11.45am.
I have never heard of a washing machine catching fire before that’s a new one on me.
Really? That’s what started the fire at Grenfell Tower !
