An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences in Maragte today (May 17).
Kent Police officers arrested the man near Margate railway station this morning. Officers also attended an address in Hastings Avenue, Margate as part of the same investigation.
Cannabis plants, cash and phones have been seized and enquiries are ongoing.
This is gutter press reporting. 10 Cops to take away 2 plants. No charges were laid against the 18 year old and all items were returned. Why not wait for more information before grabbing headlines and I suggest you report on the more serious crimes
being committed in Thanet and give the inflammatory headlines a rest. This whole operation must have cost thousands and was a total waste of resources! There’s a headline!
Hardly sensational reporting, it is a short, factual piece. How do you know so much detail? It is also highly unlikely the police are going to return Cannabis plants as it is illegal to have them-you aren’t coming across as being impartial.
Cannabis is illegal to possess, grow, distribute or sell in the UK. It is a Class B drug, with penalties for unlicenced dealing, unlicenced production and unlicenced trafficking of up to 14 years in prison, an unlimited fine, or both.
Nice to see a photo showing the complete (day) attachment of proper coppers available in thanet dealing with a basic crime. Yes others will disagree.
Crime, seems to be an occupation around these parts.
