Ashburnham and Southwood Road in Ramsgate have been cordoned off after a sinkhole appeared.
Police and Kent Highways workers are currently on the scene.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 2.30pm to a report of a sinkhole in Southwood Road, Ramsgate. Officers are in attendance providing support to Kent Highways.”
Work is this evening taking place to move the car that was directly over the hole.

Ashburnham Road is open
