A third public meeting for the community to share mental health concerns and hear from experts has been organised by county councillor Karen Constantine.
The meeting follows on from two last year that were held following a campaign for more services after a number of residents took their lives due to being unable to access professional help.
The latest meeting will centre on substance abuse and mental health.
Speakers include Peter Dunger – Service Manager Forward Trust Thanet Community Adult Substance Misuse Services – Jane Hetherington, a Psychotherapist and Supervisor East Kent Substance Misuse Services – and Becky Wing, Thanet lead and mentoring officer for Charlton Athletic Community Trust and district councillor.
It will be chaired by Cllr Constantine, who is also a county Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee member.
Representatives from Addaction and The Beacon have also been invited invited.
The meeting takes place at The Comfort Inn, Victoria Parade, Ramsgate, on February 7 from 6pm-8pm. All are welcome.
