Southeastern trains are currently running at a reduced speed between Sturry and Minster after thieves stole 250m of telecoms cable from the railway near Chislet.

A Southeastern message to passengers says: “Trains are running at reduced speed through the area, with delays between Ramsgate and Ashford via Canterbury West as a result.staff are on site and are working to fix the cable fault.”
Delays are expected to last until 1pm (since updated to 6pm). British Transport Police are at the scene.
