Police appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Cliftonville

Police are investigating a sexual assault of a woman in Cliftonville.

A man is reported to have indecently touched a woman who was walking in Cumberland Road between 8.45pm and 10.15pm on Tuesday (November 26).

 The suspect is described as being white and aged between 18 and 25. He is reported to be around 5ft 5ins tall with a slim build and was wearing dark bottoms and a hooded top with white around the hood.

Police Constable Tremayne Law, Kent Police’s investigating officer for the case, said: “Although this incident happened at night, we believe there were several members of the public in the area who may have information that can help with our enquiries.

“It may not have been obvious that an offence had taken place however any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be of huge assistance to our investigation.”
