Man arrested following balcony ‘stand-off’ in Ramsgate

A man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage following a ‘stand-off’ with police last night (November 10).

Officers were called to Homefleet House in Wellington Crescent, Ramsgate, due to  man on a first floor balcony who was reported to be damaging items.

Initially the man refused to come down from the balcony but was talked to the ground by officers.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 5.07pm to a report a man was causing damage to items that were on the balcony of a property in Wellington Crescent, Ramsgate.

“Officers attended and arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage. He remains in custody as enquiries continue.”
